A Donkey Tale

by Jenny Wren

Once an old donkey somehow fell into a well
As He stumbled all about on four legs that ail
All night inside the well, gave that mournful bray
The farmer found his trouble, at the break of day

The farmer being very poor, his situation deems
(Neither worth saving, donkey or well it seems)
Gathering in his neighbors, from Lo, miles around
He decides to fill the well with useless ground

It's a hysterical donkey who realized his fate
I'm to be buried alive! Seems its just too late
Dirt and rock pounding on that donkey's back
He grunts, groans being, under an earthly attack

Mr. Donkey feels in distress, until he realized
He's slowly being lifted, right before their eyes
Dirt hits Donkey shakes, Donkey lifted higher
Just an inch at a time in the well, getting dryer!

Men worked most of the day filling up the well
A donkeys head first appeared, then a mangy tail
In a final burst of speed, watched the donkey jump
O’er the well’s dusty edge, was a donkey in triumph

A good lesson here that can be learned by all
If into a well-of-life you, too, perchance should fall
If Satan tries to bury you, in his old earthly mess
Use your faith, little child, GOD is sure to bless

psalm 40;-2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

A turning point for me,

I had asked God to save my whole family as he had promised; my youngest daughter Freda was as stubborn as you.

"At any cost" I prayed to the Lord
She and her husband went bankrupt, lost everything they had, which shocked them, because they thought they also had it made in the shade and even laughed at me for trusting God.

Still I prayed,

I meant it and God knew it.

Besides, he promised.

I was then living in West Va.

Freda lived in Florida over 600 miles away from me,

Freda called one evening crying her little heart out,
"Momma, I want to be saved!"

Naturally I thought she was trying to bargain with God. Ha Ha

But I realized she was very serious

I said “Alright. Lord you promised and these many miles do not make any difference.

It was Wednesday evening in Florida. A pastor of a nearby Baptist church suddenly got ready and he went to the garbage dump to empty garbage before going for his service later at his church.

As he started to leave as he looked around. He saw a house up near the trash dump.

“I have some time,” he thought to himself. “I might as well go and ask them if they would like to attend church.” He goes and Freda answers his knock.

"I am pastor so and so from the Baptist church in mount Dora. I noticed your home here and wanted to invite you to church.”

Freda, with tears streaming down her face, said simply, "No you didn’t. Actually you came here because I want to be saved." then she ended with "Momma said you would come!"

Needless to say, she knelt right there within 30 minutes from calling me to give her life to the all knowing God of Gods. Yes God is real. He is just not real to you yet, but he will be more real than even you ever would have expected.

I am now praying for you the lost of the earth, and your daddy and mothers also. Who on earth do you think gave you a mind to reason with? It was not Santa Claus (who is not real by the way), but my God, who is real, and you shall see.
...
I have seen this same child be freed of tumors in her leg bone, her, knee, tummy and her child who was to die before she was 18 but lived to be 54 years old. She was touched by God so may times. She blessed me to watch her. (Look up Freda Babinski poetry in Google and you shall see another poet for God, like her mom, Jenny Wren.

She learned of God because I introduced her to him at an early age and then she got too big to believe until the Lord showed himself to her. May God enter your mind and show himself to you.

Lord

I know you can show others just as you showed my little Freda. I praise you for this miracle. It made our day in Florida and in West Virginia. You are so very good and do miracles when we trust in you...in Jesus name
