Containers of Clay
by Jenny Wren
Containers belong to the busy potter
Some vessels marred He'll not bother
They will be used after they're made
But not for use, for the Son who paid
Look into the jar, such great beauty
The spacious new jar has no real duty
It now sits simply empty as it can be
From Potter's hands. That I could see.
They sit colorful hue for Father's bid
Peep inside each of one - I lift the lid
For contents, I am so anxious to see
They need be filled by God, thru' me
All different jars sitting big and wide
Empty spaces, I look and find inside
Nothing filling them not good for use
Empty jars barren holding no excuse
Disgust hides in God's adopted child
Another keeping his heart so defiled
The void he feels lives inside of him
So empty of love to his heart's brim
Vessel look full, but not ready to give
Finding void of love for others to live
Knock upon the door of a heart feeling
Left awesome love, ‘tis a new infilling
Tests now, in love open to God's sealed
Empty human carcass now being filled
Heart with Holy Spirit now overflowing
Love is the gift, love is for bestowing
Miraculous infilling from my Lord above
Once empty vessel fills with God's love
Which fills a human Earthen container
Gives to each freely with no restrainer
Free-flow fills up, each nook and cranny
Life given touch God's now saving many
Great power reaching into heavenly goals
Gathering the harvest of many lost souls
Human vessel of clay, are of little worth
As a simple empty vessel created of earth
Value lies within from matter it can hold
Their images of God in each Human soul

Deuteronomy 7:6
For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

Jesus is the word of God
Created of the Father, with flesh wrapping around him he held God inside of himself and while he was living on earth He lived as a man. The word of God was alive and living in man.
Remember when He said “I speak nothing of myself - only what my father has spoken to you through me.” Isn’t that beautiful?
The Bible is read as a tiny child and understood. As a teen we understand it differently and as a young adult still in a different way and it is so even in me, this old granny.
Each and every verse opens as I read now, speaks to me differently – words I have read for 68 years suddenly have deeper meaning. The Bible grows with each of us.
As we grow into His word, each age of learning suffices us. Realize when this happens to you - you have not lost your mind. It is just aging in the Lord, bit by bit, little by little.
Ask your pastor. I know he finds new revelations in his own reading and learning of the Lord.
I asked Lou my daughter about something she already knew. She had kept saying to me for years: “Seek the kingdom.” One day it dawned on me. She said, “See - I told you before.” I was shocked. Heaven starts here on earth, inside of me and you in earthen vessels, in us old clay jars.
The potter's products contain treasures. There will be a new heaven and new earth; no flesh and blood will ever inherit heaven. We will be in new bodies, remember, compliments of our big brother, Jesus.
We shall have glorified bodies. Remember? Jesus said “I am a king but my kingdom is not of this world.” He is our king, His children’s, king. His temple is in our bodies, our souls, which hold His holy spirit, which teaches us, daily, as we ask.
God will lead us into all truths, open them to us. We are all, one in all and all in one. His Bride is His Church.
Heavenly Father,
I come to thank you Lord, for your watch-care over me since I was a tiny squirt. I praise you and thank you for your blessing upon me. I ask you to be near and dear to me for the remainder of this and my other life. I am learning of you and loving the learning. I praise you Holy Father.
