Drifting

by Jenny Wren

In life’s' trials that have been given
Tis this that I have learned quite well
That there is only one way to Heaven
But, there are a thousand ways to Hell

The Christian way is ever upstream
But beware - It becomes easy to drift
Life can slide into a lethargic dream
If not utilizing your God-given-gift

Having evil companions for best-friend
They have led many Christians a-stray
Remember one rotten apples end
The whole bushel it caused to decay

As little splinters lodge in a finger
Soon the finger festers to erupt
Like little sins that within us linger
You the Christian must give them up

Browsing in religions to find one who
So tickles your ear, it comforts you
Til you remember a religion that's new
If it's not tried, then It's not true

By forsaking the house of your Lord
Hardly ever meeting with one another
Duty to God Must not be ignored
Worship with your Sister and Brother

Love of money - also worldly pleasure
Are two more ways to drift about
Be content with God-given-treasure
He's the One-Way (the only route)

So beware of drifting upon life’s' sea
Its erratic waves you cannot ride
Drifting comes so easy for me and thee
One-way travel is against the tide

God of heaven, earth, you and me
(by Jenny wren)

I praise God now for the blessings that always follow after me .
A mysterious thing, precious thought, about God the creator.
No wonder Mary pondered these things as she studied the face of Jesus, in her arms , filled with Love for him, knowing Him as her child, yet knowing also that He is the Son of God!

I wonder - when God formed woman and made the womb inside of her,
Did God know then that He would one day would be carried as a baby by a virgin, to be born to a woman like He had just created?

Did He love us that much, even in the beginning?
Did he Know that we humans would be weak created vessels because of being able to use our own free will in how we live .

if God knew this to start with, did He know, that we would fail miserably in the Garden of Eden?
(Remember, there were no people before that, from which to gain knowledge and wisdom,
So by trial and error, when they are left to think on their own.
Remember there are two now instead of one (double trouble)
Did God know the fall of mankind would happen with no examples to follow? Selah,
(think about this) they had learned to communicate with God. And none other. so when an animal such as Satan came forward speaking, they believed him.

Did God then see himself far in the future, in another garden (the Garden of Gethsemane) where He would go to meditate and collect his strength and wisdom from Prayer? (Getting tired as a man gets tired.) Did He know His weak and tired disciples would sleep as He agonized about His impending death by cruel crucifixion?

Did He see and know that? Crying out in agony (as a man would cry), dreading this impending battle, but also knowing that he would bravely stand up to the challenge.

Did He foreknow the success of opening the way, once more to Himself, for all mankind - as He had created Man to be?
Was it already known that there would be another baby girl born in Tennessee that would so love Him that she would give her whole life and Soul to Him?
Did He see that she would write poetry and stories of His love for her and the people of earth.

Some call Jesus a figment of one's imagination. Jenny calls Him "Lord." Seems people outgrow the Lord they learn of as a child, gaining so much knowledge that now they are convinced that God is no longer a real Savior.

Did Jesus know then that the children which He created, in each of their uniqueness, would try to blame him for all of the bad things that happen in their lives? Like wars, accidents, deaths?

Jenny wonders How can Jesus still love us, we who do not trust him enough to trust our future to Him, as well as that of our families? All we have to do is look at the past to know the future.

It is a sad thing to think of people blaming all of the bad in their lives on Jesus and never thinking, once of the millions of things he has done for us and given to us.

Cares for us when we are the least appreciative of it, while we take Him for granted.

It is like we keep Him in a box, as a genie in a bottle, only to be brought out when a need is present.

Jenny Wren was made to see this as she started to get in Her car one day, last year before she finished opening the garage door.

She started her ritual, giving God His orders for the day, as she lifted the door. It banged against the ceiling.

"Watch over me Lord, let me show my invalid brother a good time, go with and protect, keep people out of my way."

I was suddenly stopped by the words of God (he had placed into my heart and mind) -
"You have never thanked me for the many times I have watched for you, for these past few weeks."

(A humbling experience!)

Jenny Wren shut the garage door, sat in her car and cried, knowing how selfish she had been.
"Me, me, my, I ,mine, myself,” Jenny wren scolded herself, simply selfish.

God in heaven watch over us this night, coming up and stay ever near - guide us in our endeavors, be with us in travels and bless us Lord one and all.
