Giving
Opening Prayer: Join in prayer asking our Heavenly Father
to give unto others
just as Christ Jesus taught us to .
Todays Verse Focus is a part of Acts 20:35 -
...remember the words of the Lord Jesus,
how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Suggested Bible Reading : Luke 21:1-4
1And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast
in more than they all:
4 For all these have of their abundance cast in
unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury
hath cast in all the living that she had.
Activity For The Week : When giving this week ,quietly pray to God to give with a heart filled with love and kindness . Is there something you can bring to a local food pantry ? Are there extra chores you can do around your home or a letter you can write to someone to brighten their day ? Do these things with a prayerful and loving heart.

Gifts of Charity
Lord, open up my eyes to see
Your purpose and your plan Take hold my hand and lead me to The hungry of this land. When I can see someone in need
And know I can do more Open my mind to understand The way to help the poor. By giving freely to others
Your love I can then share
From heart-to-heart, love is passed A voyage of true care. Lord, open to me a window
An opportunity To make a difference while I’m here With gifts of charity. 1 Timothy 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: Julie Pisacane ©
