Opening Prayer : Start with a prayer to God asking Him to help
us learn this day about how we  work together as one body
to help others learn about Jesus.

Memory Verse

So we, being many, are one body in Christ,
and every one members one of another. - Romans 12:5

Today's Bible Reading Passage.

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
 whether we be Jews or Gentiles, ] whether we be bond or free;
and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1 Corinthians 12

Discussion and  lesson activity for today.

1. Examine the string you were given . Is it one piece or something
made up of two or  three pieces

2.  Do you think it is stronger because of the many pieces that are woven together as one ?

3. What message is told in the above  passage
about us being joined together ?
Suggested Lesson Activity :

RIght now have everyone tie their string to the person's string sitting next to them.

How long is the string now ?

Is it long enough to make a circle around a small group of children ?

Aren't we as a group stronger because
of the support we give to one  another  and because of how
many of us are joined together  and working
for the same cause ?

It is a blessing to be part of the Body of Christ and it is God who joins us together  to help others learn about Jesus Christ .
He has given each of us different talents that we use to
witness for the kingdom of God. Some of us sing.
Some of us write . Some are teachers .

Take some time out right now to talk about some of the gifts
God has given to each of you that helps you to
 witness to others for Jesus.

Together

Not for a second have we been alone
Our Father above looks after His own-
Gathering His family.
He sees and He cares, hearing our prayers...
Examining hearts of the wheat and tares
In His field of this world.

One cross in life has brought us together
That we may love our Saviour forever
Love kept Him on the cross.
Believers in Christ have taken His hand,
While spreading the Gospel across each land.
Walking under His shield.

Together,
we will magnify His name
Praying, that other souls will do the same
Seeking to join His church.
His church has only one true foundation
Where people can join throughout each nation...
Gather with us, dear friend.

1 Corinthians 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
