LESSONS AND HANDOUTS FOR THIS WEEK
World Sunday School first appeared on the Internet on May 14, 2003. Since that time, this independent website has supplied weekly graded Sunday School lessons and handouts (and, often, coloring pages) to help Sunday School teachers worldwide. We hope to help preserve the Sunday School movement which had its glory days in the 1930's. In a time when so many churches are downsizing Sunday Schools, we aim to preserve this Christian teaching to enrich the life of children and youth worldwide.

When I say Christian, I was a sinner saved by grace,
And because I believe in JESUS, When this life is over I'll see His face.
He wants to do for you, exactly what He has done for me,
To save your soul from hell, and from sin to set you free.
All you must do is, call on JESUS and believe,
and in faith know HE loves you, then open your heart and recieve.
Then in faith and with your mouth proclaim,
and follow the Holy Spirit, Praise HIS Holy Name!
Proverbs 28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
The context of the passage is moral judgment. It is aimed at daily decisions on conduct and choices of how we act in relation to God and other people. The verse preceding verse 5 says "They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them." The verse following verse 5 states: "Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich." This is the intent of the judgment and understanding in verse 5. The verse is not telling us that if you will seek the LORD you will be a mathematical genius or that the world will bow at your feet for your wisdom.
It doesn't take an Einstein to realize there is a vast difference between the way devout Christians act and the rest of the world acts. The world looks on us as superstitious, self righteous "do-gooders" who don't know how to have a good time and don't want anyone else to have a good time either.

Author’s Notes: We’re going to continue looking at the life of Joseph, this week. And as Joseph once again encounters his brothers, we’re going to consider a question posed in Jeremiah 13:23: can a leopard change its spots? The answer to that question, of course, is no. But if God makes of it a whole new creature, like 2 Corinthians 5:17 talks about, then that leopard can become a spotless lion!.

Devotional Poem: New Creatures
God can make amazing changes in the darkest heart;
Make of us new creatures; give us each a brand new start.
We can thank Him for this truth; then take a look around,
And see that God is changing hearts that once, in sin, were bound.

I Am a Candle
I am a candle
Because God loves me
I have a new heart
And faith to see.
I am a candle
Standing tall
Set on His path
I've heard His call.
